Reflections on Ceremony Work

Notes from my ceremony creation Process

I’m co-creating a very special ceremony with a client who is marking a big change in a relationship. This change carries with it the weight of old feelings along with new hopes for a better future. After an exchange of emails, which included introspective questions that I posed to her, potential ideas, and a template for the ceremony, we met in person and talked out the details. As these ideas are solidifying, we now have a list of who will be there, what will be shared, which symbols we will incorporate, and so on.

I’ve been busy this week creating a playlist for the ceremony; writing out a description for her witnesses of their roles and how they can best support her; collecting the items I will use; writing notes; making candles and an herbal tea blend specific to her life that we will use during the ceremony and which she can take home for future, mini-individual, at-home ceremonies when she’s in need of ongoing support.

My ceremonies are steeped with thoughtful intention and care. I offer my visionary skills and artistry to this craft of weaving an event together from the intersection of ideas, symbols, and connection to Spirit. These ceremonies are as meaningful to me as they are to my clients and I hold them dear in my heart. If you would like to acknowledge a time in your life - whether in celebration, commemoration, or solemnity - I am here to hold that space with you, to guide you in the various ways to honor it, and walk with you through the fire of transformation.
