I am a Yoga and Meditation Teacher

With over 500 hours of training, who also instructs aspiring Yoga teachers through the Brahmrishi Yoga Teacher Training, I create a unique, holistic approach to yoga that seamlessly blends awareness with movement and breath.  My classes are inspired by nature and vary depending on the season, the phase of the moon, or the time of day.  Bringing joy and compassion to each class, I aspire to impart a thirst for knowledge as I invite you to relax into your body, your breath, and the present moment.

Yoga therapy

Iā€™m also a Yoga Therapist, incorporating the principles of the Chakra system, Ayurveda, and Yoga philosophy into my work with you. The integration of Yoga Therapy into your life helps address your individual needs and health concerns.  Yoga Therapy is the adaptation of specific yoga practices for people with individual needs.  Although ordinary yoga classes can improve general health and resolve mild issues, they might be ineffective for other conditions.

In such cases, Yoga Therapy can help by tailoring to your unique needs by taking into account any health issues, your level of flexibility, capacity, capability, habits, constitution, and circumstances.

Yoga Therapists are certified yoga teachers with further training in human physiology, anatomy, and applications of yoga to medical conditions.  Research shows that Yoga Therapy is among one of the most effective methods for managing many of the stress-related conditions that are so common these days.  This is because Yoga Therapy bridges the gap between the body and mind, ranging across the whole spectrum of the Self, from physical to mental, from gross to subtle.

Yoga Therapy starts with a one-on-one consultation to determine the current condition, any associated health issues, and related lifestyle factors.  This is followed by a series of individual, specialized sessions.  Yoga Therapy begins with very simple flexibility exercises, simplified poses, introductory breathing techniques, and culminates in a guided relaxation meditation.  This ensures that you can begin to practice and benefit right away, even with no prior experience of yoga.  With time and progress, more challenging movement and breathing practices are incorporated into the treatment plan.  Yoga Therapy is very safe and is accessible to all people.  It empowers you to understand your own body, guides you to make intelligent decisions regarding your health, and leads to long-term wellbeing by reducing the dependency on medications, offering instead, a treatment for healing and prevention.
