Massage Therapy

When I work with a body, it’s as though I wade into that energy, let the healing flow through me, to unwind blockages, and open new pathways.

I have studied the Eastern massage practice of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage as well as Western styles of Therapeutic table massage. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, practicing for over a decade, and I offer a variety of Massage styles.

  • Traditional Table Massage, in which I blend techniques from Craniosacral, Myofascial, Lymph drainage, Swedish, Thai, and Energy healing traditions.

  • Pre/Post Natal, which relieves strain on weight-bearing joints and maintains muscle tone in preparation for labor and delivery, while keeping you connected to your changing body.  As a mom who birthed two children, I understand intimately the needs of new mamas and mothers-to-be.

  • Traditional Thai Yoga Massage, an ancient and sacred system of rhythmic massage, acupressure, yoga, energy work, and meditation. Read my blog, Thoughts on Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.

When offering massage, I assist you in finding your most relaxed and comfortable state by playing soft music, offering a warm table and neck pad, dim lighting, and subtle aromatherapy. Sessions can last between 60-90 minutes, focusing on the areas of the body that are holding tension or pain. The techniques I use unravel that tension without causing residual discomfort. Afterwards, you will feel calm, clear, and loose. I always advise drinking a lot of water before and after a session and taking the rest of your day as easy as possible, checking in with how you feel, taking note of any new sensations in your body, and continuing to take long, slow breaths. Most clients schedule on a monthly basis, which ensures that your wellbeing is regularly maintained, but I recommend receiving massage at a frequency that works best for your unique lifestyle. I look forward to sharing the healing powers of massage with you!

There’s a river of healing energy, always coursing around, between, and through us.
