Yule: Winter Solstice at Verbena

Yule is one of the oldest winter solstice festivals, originating with the ancient Norse thousands of years ago. We keep the spirit of this celebration alive today by gathering together in community to honor the energy of the Crone. In the wheel of the year, we have much to learn from this archetype, who teaches us the wisdom of winter’s rest.

This is the time for acknowledging our year’s accomplishments, finding light in the darkness, and dreaming of the action that will come in the warmth of the next season. Let’s light our candles, charge our crystals, and blend the herbal teas that stoke the inner fires and warm our hearts.

Join Amber, Molly, and I for our final Tea Ceremony of the year, where we will learn about the beneficial properties of the herbs selected for the season and create our own unique blends to take home. In addition, we will set our intentions through altar building, ritual, journaling, guided seasonal meditation, movement, breath, and vocalizing. Each participant receives a beautiful crystal - unique to the season - that carries the intention into each sip of your tea blend.
